In the spirit of the Academy Awards tonight, I wanted to share some Oscar-worthy gowns from Japanese designer Tadashi Shoji. I just love the innovative shapes, luxurious fabrics, and the romantic aura of his Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Gentle Fawn

While I was searching online for new spring fashion to 'pin' to my Pinterest board, I decided to look up a line I remembered seeing at a trade show several years ago, and I was pleased to see that Gentle Fawn was still around and still as adorable as I remembered! 

And what a great story they have too! The line was actually inspired by an innocent trip to a thrift store one afternoon in 2003, by designers Daniel and Carla Hogg. The name Gentle Fawn was inspired by a rare collection of antique ceramic fawns.

The line is clean and modern and successfully blends great design with functionality. I love the line because it's a stylish mix of urban and bohemian (what I like to describe my own personal style as!), and it's just so effortless!
